Five 3rd century sarchophagi found at Ephesus

Turkish Daily News announces the find of five 3rd century AD sarcophagi at Ephesus along the Arcadian Way between the theatre and the harbour. Plans for a dedicated room for sarcophagi at the Selcuk museum have also been announced.

Newly found Venus on view in Jerusalem

From Israel comes an exciting new find of a statue of Venus with some of its original colours preserved, and possibly made in the Aphrodisias workshop. It’s currently on view at the Israel Museum in Jerusalem.
